Fachschaft

Dear students of English and American studies,

We are the students’ union of the Department of English and American Studies and our job is to represent you, the students, and your interests. 

We work in close collaboration with members of the Department, organize parties you don’t want to miss, and host a variety of other fun events throughout the semester.

If you have any problems, questions, or suggestions you would like to share with us, if you feel like joining us, or even if you simply want to have a nice chat, do not hesitate to contact us. You’re always welcome to come by during our weekly office hours or contact us via e-mail or on Instagram. We are always happy to help.

Office Hours

During our office hours, at least one member of the Fachschaftsrat will be waiting for you in our office (EAP 8, SR 616). You can use these time slots in order to contact us directly instead of writing emails about your problem. You are invited to drop by.

Meetings

In our weekly meetings, we plan and organize future events, talk about problems which were brought to our attention and discuss other organizatinal matters. The meetings are open for visitors who are interested in the everyday work of the Fachschaftsrat or who might be interested to join us.
